CodeBestie Purchase Policy
Clear expectations before you purchase.
This policy explains how cancellations, refund requests, duplicate charges, technical access problems, and approved refunds are handled for CodeBestie’s digital educational products and subscription services.
Policy at a glance
Digital access
There is no physical product to return after access begins.
Limited exceptions
Duplicate billing and verified access failures may be reviewed.
Cancel future renewals
Subscription cancellation does not reverse completed charges.
Section 1
Scope of this policy
This Refund and Returns Policy applies to purchases made directly through CodeBestie, including digital educational products, downloadable materials, online learning resources, paid content, memberships, and recurring subscription plans.
A product, service, platform, or payment provider not owned or operated by CodeBestie may maintain a separate refund, cancellation, or dispute policy.
Section 2
Digital products and educational access
CodeBestie provides digital educational content rather than physical merchandise. Products and services may include:
- Online lessons, learning paths, and educational modules
- Quizzes, scenarios, challenges, and practice activities
- Digital guides, downloads, worksheets, and reference tools
- Membership dashboards and restricted learning areas
- Subscription-based access to educational resources
- Other digital medical coding and career-development content
Because these products are delivered electronically, there is ordinarily nothing physical to return once access has been granted.
Section 3
When a digital sale becomes final
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, purchases are considered final once paid content or services have been made available to the purchaser.
Access may be considered provided when one or more of the following occurs:
- Paid content is unlocked or assigned to the purchaser’s account
- A membership or subscription becomes active
- A lesson, module, quiz, dashboard, or restricted page is opened
- A digital resource is displayed, viewed, emailed, or downloaded
- The purchaser begins using a paid tool, activity, or resource
Section 4
Limited circumstances that may be reviewed
A refund or payment correction may be considered in a limited circumstance. Review does not guarantee approval.
Duplicate billing
The same purchaser and transaction appear to have been charged more than once for the same product or billing period.
Verified access failure
A documented CodeBestie technical error prevented access and support could not restore or reasonably provide the purchased access.
Incorrect charge amount
The amount processed differs from the amount clearly displayed and authorized during the completed purchase.
Rights required by law
A refund, cancellation, or other remedy is required under applicable consumer-protection law and cannot legally be excluded by this policy.
Section 5
Circumstances that are usually not refundable
Except where required by law, a refund is not ordinarily provided for:
- A change of mind after paid content or membership access begins
- Dissatisfaction after viewing, using, or downloading content
- Failure to use, complete, or regularly access purchased content
- Forgetting to cancel a subscription before a scheduled renewal
- Lack of available study time or a change in personal circumstances
- Purchasing the wrong product without first contacting support
- Failure to review the product description, included materials, prerequisites, or technology requirements
- Disagreement with an educational explanation, teaching style, content order, or learning format
- Failure to pass an examination or obtain a certification, employment opportunity, promotion, reimbursement result, or other desired outcome
- Account restrictions caused by sharing access, misuse, prohibited conduct, or violation of CodeBestie terms
Section 6
Memberships, subscriptions, and cancellation
A recurring CodeBestie membership or subscription may be canceled through the account tools available on the official My Account page.
Cancellation is intended to prevent future recurring charges. It does not automatically reverse or refund a charge that was already completed before cancellation.
The date on which access ends may depend on the plan, billing period, account status, and cancellation options displayed at the time cancellation is submitted.
Purchasers are responsible for reviewing their subscription status and completing cancellation before the next scheduled renewal when they do not wish to continue.
Section 7
How to request a billing or refund review
Submit the request through the CodeBestie Contact form as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.
Include:
- The full name used for the purchase
- The email address connected to the account or transaction
- The approximate purchase or charge date
- The product, membership, or subscription involved
- The amount charged
- A transaction, invoice, or receipt identifier when available
- A clear description of the duplicate charge, access failure, or billing problem
- Troubleshooting steps already attempted for an access problem
Section 8
Approved refunds and payment corrections
When a refund is approved, CodeBestie ordinarily submits it to the original payment method used for the transaction. A refund cannot ordinarily be redirected to a different card, bank account, or person.
After a refund is submitted, processing and posting times are controlled by Stripe, the card network, the purchaser’s bank, or another payment provider. The time required for the credit to appear may vary.
A recently issued refund may sometimes appear as a reversal in which the original charge disappears rather than as a separate refund credit.
CodeBestie may provide available refund confirmation or reference information when reasonably needed to help the purchaser communicate with their bank.
Section 9
Chargebacks and payment disputes
Purchasers are encouraged to contact CodeBestie first when they believe a charge is duplicated, incorrect, or connected to an unresolved technical access problem.
A payment dispute or chargeback is handled through the payment processor, card network, and financial institution. Filing a dispute does not, by itself, determine eligibility under this policy or guarantee a particular outcome.
CodeBestie may provide relevant transaction, account, communication, cancellation, delivery, and access records to the payment processor or financial institution when responding to a dispute.
CodeBestie will not knowingly seek or provide protected health information, patient records, passwords, or unrelated confidential employer information as dispute evidence.
Section 10
Rights provided by applicable law
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or waived.
Refund and cancellation rights may vary depending on the purchaser’s location, the type of transaction, the method of payment, and applicable law.
When a mandatory legal right conflicts with a provision of this policy, the mandatory legal requirement controls to the extent of that conflict.
Section 11
Changes to this policy
CodeBestie may update this policy when products, memberships, payment processes, business practices, or legal requirements change.
An updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
The policy presented or made available at the time of a transaction may be relevant to that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Section 12
